The creative impulse was to build a fusion event, somewhere between a block party and a winter festival, to launch Australiaās first Element hotel at a Melbourne market. AOI delivered a memorable block party experience for media, influencers, VIPs and key stockholders of the Marriott group from Australia and the USA. They were led through a playful journey of sensory delights whilst also learning about Element Hotelās brand ethos and unique amenities.
AOI adopted a localised and sustainable event experience design approach resulting in an extraordinary multi-sensory participatory experience. In the heart of Richmond, Elementās winter festival saw the finest Victorian produce come together with iconic Melbourne food and drink brands for an exquisite seasonal feast by Executive Chef Adam Rondinelli.
Brand-specific activations and surprise and delight moments, like an Australian botanical scent design installation and a cooking class with Laura Henshaw, topped off the night for Marriott group staff and their guests.
