The creative impulse ā as led by AOIās Creative Director, Mages ā for more than six years, was to produce a fully immersive experience of the TEDx ethos: to change the way people think and feel about the world they live in for the better. During this time, Mages brought immersion, spectacle and artistic expression to the event, elevating an ordinary conference format to a multi-sensory experience.
Not only did this quadruple ticket sales (from 500 to 2k+ attendees), but it also enhanced the storytelling aspect of the brand across various Melbourne venues, including the Melbourne Convention Centre, Meat Market and The Capitol Theatre. The full-day conference featured: a curated food menu by Melbourne celebrity chefs; art installations in collaboration with local creatives, designers and global engineering companies; partner brand activations and tech demos; VIP experiences; A-List speakers; and renowned artists such as Sampa The Great and Electric Fields.
